Using a unique approach in tackling health and safety issues within NZ police, we use the health and safety at work act to focus on PTSD and suicide amongst police officers both serving and retired - we call this the blue whanau. We openly speak about the uncomfortable truths around suicide in the blue whanau.
Our approach is humanitarian, we care about the police who protect us and who often suffer because of protecting the community
We support the blue whanau when injured in the workplace, we help navigate the mysterious bureaucracy of ACC and police. We often employ lawyers to help us which your donations help with.
ACC has the mandate to provide services for police injured with PTSD while working, we ensure the blue whanau get a fair crack of the whip and get what they are entitled to.
We believe that if New Zealand has a healthy Police Service this ultimately benefits the wider New Zealand community. We are a registered charity, which means your donation is tax deductable. Ensure you get a receipt with your donation so you can claim back
