Every day, 71 New Zealanders are diagnosed with cancer. The number of people affected by cancer is expected to increase by 46% by 2040.
We believe no one should go through their cancer journey alone.
Whether it is driving someone to treatment, providing advice through our 0800 number, or offering accommodation near treatment centres - the Cancer Society is here.
“The Cancer Society nurse helped me cope with my diagnosis by offering her help, calling and checking on me regularly. I still talk to them when I’m feeling down. Having someone to talk to who understands what I’m going through is a great relief.” – Nory
"They put you up in Daffodil House in Christchurch. It’s such an amazing place, and it costs you nothing. They just take all of the stress out of having to go to treatments. It’s great.” – Lynne
