Wildlife.ai works with conservation practitioners to identify wildlife conservation problems and develop scalable solutions using machine learning and state-of-the-art sensor technologies. Our projects include:
A smart camera that helps users to better understand the biodiversity outcomes of their predator control efforts. Developed and trialled in collaboration with local students from Taranaki.
A citizen science and machine learning approach to identify fish in underwater videos to guide more efficient conservation management of marine biodiversity.
A pattern recognition software that facilitates the individual identification of Archey's frogs to estimate their population size and survival rates.
Wildlife.ai also organises wānanga, community events, seminars and educational activities to ensure the skill set required to build and maintain the technology is passed on to those involved in biodiversity.
