Our Mission

Literacy Aotearoa Charitable Trust is a national organisation of adult literacy providers and a leading commentator on literacy issues in Aotearoa. Our core activity is delivering learning services to adults nationwide.

About

How We Create Change

Our education is FREE to the learner. We have been delivering learning services nationwide since the 1980s. Our tutors are experienced, supportive, and qualified in the design and teaching of adult literacy and numeracy programmes.

We currently have 30+ teaching sites helping adults overcome literacy and numeracy barriers.

Literacy Aotearoa Charitable Trust is established to develop, promote and deliver accessible, quality literacy services - to ensure the peoples of Aotearoa are critically literate and able to realise their full social, cultural and economic potential. Literacy Aotearoa will honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi by operating in accordance with Tino Rangatiratanga and guided by Manaaki Tangata.
