We Love Dogs Charitable Trust is based in New Plymouth and operates throughout Taranaki. Our charity believes dogs provide benefits to the physical and mental health of everyone in the community.
We host a two-monthly Barket (market) as a regular dog community event and continue to build our volunteer team of fosters and rehoming coordinators. Our main focus will remain on the rehabilitating and rehoming of those dogs that come into our care. Alongside this, we will continue to rehome on behalf of owners. We are fully staffed by volunteers who donate their time to support those in need. The trust has seen a huge increase in surrendered dogs since early 2020 due to the impact of Covid on dog owners. Changing circumstances, lack of accommodation, employment, socialising and costs to vaccinate and desex dogs have all contributed to a massive volunteer workload and a desperate need for funds to help those in need.
