Mana Tipua provide rangatahi takatāpui (Māori young people aged 12-25, with diverse genders, sexualities, and sex characteristics) and their whānau with social, educational and development opportunities which foster a greater sense of culture, identity, tikanga and indigenous values, within a safe supportive environment.
We run social groups and events which provide opportunities for rangatahi takatāpui to engage with tikanga and mātauranga Māori and taonga tuku iho. All our programmes are run at no cost to the young people using our services.
We support the development of tuakiri takatāpui (identity) for individuals, their whānau, and wider society through research, advocacy, resource development, and education. We also collaborate with other services to assist rangatahi takatāpui and their whānau with health and wellbeing pathways.
Our mahi contribute to a wider goal of creating an equitable and inclusive society free from discrimination on any grounds.
